I feel blessed to travel to different continents in last 10 years. I realized that travelling could bring more excitement and happiness if I share it with others.<p> <p>That idea led me to start my own travel company and I have taken groups to countries in Latin American, South Asia and East Asia. I enjoy guiding a group of people since it consist with different age groups, variety of personalities and array of interests. I feel it is one of the amazing jobs that someone could have.<p> <p>When I welcome my guests at the airport (I go to the designated country before my tour group arrive), I make sure from the arrival that they feel like they are at their own country. <p>As a boutique tour operator, I always offer what I promise to my clients and I have earned a trust and respect from my clients. My clients' joy and excitement have been a great encouragement to continue my challenging work. I give lot of attention to my clients' needs and I do my best to offer memorable vacation which they share with their families and friends.<p> <p>When I travel with guest, I always find time for my favorite hobbies; reading and writing. From North to south it has a maximum length of 435 km, giving it a land area of 65.600 sq. km.<br> At tropical beach level the thermometer soars into the mid 80° F ( 29°C) but, within four hours journey by road or rail, lies the breathtaking hill country where the temperature drops to the 50° F. As quickly as the climate changes, so des the dramatic scenery.</p> <p>Recorded history in Sri Lanka began when Buddhism gave brith to a cultural revolution more than 2000 years ago. And in thewake of this cultural revolution came in era of unsurpassed achievement. Almost 25 centuries later, Buddhism is still preserved in this puest from. Its doctrine of peace and tolerance has left it s gentle mark on the land and her people. Different religions and ethnic groups live side by side in total harmony in a democratic society.<br> Although predominantly Shinhalese, Sri Lanka also has other ethink groups- Tamils, Moors, Malays and decendants of the Dutch, Portuguese and British as well as a small aboriginal community of Veddahs. The focal point of the town is <b>the golden-roofed Dalada Maligawa</b>, where the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha is enshrined.</p> <p><b class="boldroze">Day 6</b><br>We will visit <b>Royal Botanical Garden Peradeniya</b>, 6 km from Kandy. The 150 acres garden with seats, gazebos, pavilions and a restaurant at the entrance, are a paradise of tropical foliage. In the afternoon you will visit <b>the Dalada Maligawa, the temple of tooth relic in Kandy</b>. There will be a city tour after visiting the temple. On the way back, we have time for those who love to ride the elephants (not in the price included). In the afternoon you will visit the <b>Dalada Maligawa</b>, the temple of tooth relic in Kandy. There will be a city tour after visiting the temple.</p> <p><b class="boldroze">Day 6</b><br>This will be one of the highlights of our tour, the train trip to <b>Nuwara Eliya</b> which takes you almost 4 hours. First Class seats from the observation compartment will give you the scenic beauty of hill country such as waterfalls, tea plantation and misty mountains. When you arrive to Nuwara Eliya, you feel like you are in Scotland, UK.</p> <p><b class="boldroze">Day 7</b><br>Early in the morning we will visit <b>Horton Plain</b> to explore the flora and fauna which is a special attraction in the hill country. This remote plateau is the island's last remaining forest, the home of some fauna and flora species found nowhere else in the world. The walk takes almost 6 hours and one of the highlights is the World's End and the <b>Baker fall</b> (this tour will be depending on the weather). After that we will visit one of the famous tea factory in the area and you can see there how do they process the famous Ceylon tea. After seeing the tea process, we can drink a cup of tea with homemade chocolate cake enjoying the beautiful view.</p> <p><b class="boldroze">Day 8</b><br>We are leaving to <b>Belihul Oya</b> located on the foot of the high country and explore the picturesque town.</p> <p><b class="boldroze">Day 9</b><br>We are proceeding to experience the Sri Lanka's most popular wildlife Reserve- <b>Yala National Park</b> and a chance to see some of Sri Lanka's spectacular wildlife. </p> <p><b class="boldroze">Day 10</b><br>We are proceeding to<b> Udawalawe National park</b> which is next in popularity to Yala, and elephants could be observed.</p> <p><b class="boldroze">Day 11</b><br>We have planned this day to visit the <b>Sinharaja</b>- Sri Lanka's most beautiful and the biggest rainforest. </p> <p><b class="boldroze">Day 12</b><br>We are proceeding to <b>Unawatuna</b>, close to Galle is a beach resort which provides the beach facilities. We stayed in a cozy hotel in Maravila, located 45 minutes distance from Airport.<br> The friendly staff and the quite beach made us felt very welcome and homely. Especially when you walk through the village, it was like a film. The children playing in the street, a man who sold his breads on his bike (mobile bakery ) and a man who carried 3 pigs tightened on his motor bike was amazing.</p> <p>We visited the ''Welcome Village'' the home for the elderly men and women. Herman Sure is the founder of this Village, and provide a home and all kind of care for these elderly people. He took some of these people from the street, brought them here, let them feel that they are home. When I was walking though this complex, I could not find the right words to express my gratitude towards this man to his incredible service for this country. I can say if you want to see it, you have to go there and see. </p> <p>We had had a great day in Negombo. We still could see the Dutch ruins. The fish market was astonished. The picturesque beach front was fascinating.</p> <p>On the way to Sigiriya we saw the rock in distance, had some second thoughts about the climbing the rock. It took us almost 3 hours and as soon as we were on the top, all the troubles and the second thoughts were over, it was amazing again.</p> <p>Kandy was a very attractive city and the most of it the temperature was very pleased. We walked to the Kanday Temple from our hotel. We were lucky that we could still participate the religious services (pooja) and could see the golden coffin, the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha.</p> <p>The elephant orphanage was very touching, I can say if you would like to experience it please go and see. It was so impressive and unforgettable.</p> <p>The train trip from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya was some surprise again. The trip can not be compared with the travel by train in Holland. As we arrived in our hotel, we had to ware some more clothes to keep us warm. The temperature difference was enormous. We stayed in a very pleasant hotel, decorated in English style. We could not believe it though, there was a open fire.</p> <p>We visited the tea plantation, tested the original Ceylon tea with chocolate cake. We went to the farm, to see the cows, goats and rabbits. They produce cheese and milk. It was very interesting and we had great fun, while it was raining and cold.<br> Further we walked through the city and saw very old trades and the shops, the market, the Victorian style post office and the park was very amusing. Especially the S.O.S. children homes, the house complex for the orphans was astonished.</p> <p>The walk to the Dunhinda waterfall en to Ella Gap. The jeep safari for four hours long through the park was to mad to be true.</p> <p>After visiting Galle, Colombo we were back to our cozy hotel were we started our adventure. Once we arrived there we felt that we were home back. The kindness and the care of the staff made us feel there home. We danced with our drivers there a lot. Later we discovered that Suranga one of our guide could sing lovely. Of course I have to admit that these young men who guided us were fantastic.</p> <p>One more single night staying in that cozy hotel. Our adventure in Sri Lanka had been ended.</p> <p>Darshika, we had thanked you in several times though, I would like to thank you again for your tremendous preparation to make this adventure possible, and for the wonderful weeks. I did not mention you earlier about your humor, your warm heart, your joy and your smile, that we never will forget as well as Sri Lanka.
